My art revolves around our understanding of the self and our identity within community as part of the natural processes of the world, not something above the natural order like we have been led to believe. I’m interested in using symbols found in our natural world in art as a way to communicate human experience. This desire comes from my interest in nature, my philosophy that human experience is in communication and a reflection of processes found in the natural world, and to bring awareness to the environments we are from so as to protect them from the rising threat of logging and mining.
